Detection tools

Multimeter: It is used to measure the voltage and resistance of individual battery cells, capable of reaching the millivolt level. It is best to choose a four-and-a-half-digit one with higher accuracy. It should have functions such as DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance, buzzer range on/off, diode range, capacitance measurement, and current measurement. When some conditions permit, a oscilloscope multimeter with oscilloscope function can be equipped, which is more convenient to use.

Internal resistance tester: Mainly used to measure the internal resistance of batteries, it can determine battery faults by measuring voltage. During battery assembly, it can also make judgments based on voltage consistency.

Clamp-on ammeter: It can measure both direct current and alternating current. Just place the wire in the middle of the clamp to measure. There are two types: those that can only measure AC and those that can measure both AC and DC. The clamp-on ammeter that can measure both AC and DC is slightly more expensive.

Welding tools

Soldering iron: It is often used in the assembly and maintenance of lithium batteries, for soldering nickel sheets, protection boards, etc. Different power soldering irons can be prepared, such as 30 to 40 watts, 200 to 300 watts, etc. High-power soldering irons perform better when soldering larger batteries. At the same time, high-quality solder wire should be selected, and a solder absorber can be equipped to remove the solder on the solder pad. Auxiliary fixtures for soldering can also be configured as needed.

Disassembly and assembly tools

Screwdriver: It is used to open the casing and battery pack of power tools. There are various models, including long, short, large, small, combined, and irregular-shaped ones. It is recommended to configure more different types of screwdrivers to meet various disassembly requirements.

Tweezers: They are used to hold small items. When welding relatively thin wires, they can assist in holding and positioning to avoid burning hands. They are convenient and flexible to use.

Pliers: There are pointed-nose pliers, carp pliers, diagonal pliers, etc. They are similar in function to tweezers and can be used to hold small items to assist in operation. Diagonal pliers can also be used to cut wires, nickel sheets, plastics, etc.

Spring clip pliers: Used for removing spring clips. In lithium battery maintenance, it is relatively convenient to remove battery brackets. When the bracket is tight, it can be easily disassembled with a spring clip pliers.

Pliers: Used for clamping and fixing.
